No-one wants to get sick. Did you know there is more than you can do to help yourself than just disinfect surfaces and avoid contact with other people?
When it comes to catching a cold, flu, or any other number of other things there are 3 factors to be mindful of:
1. How virulent is the virus?
2. How many viruses you come in contact with?
3. How well is the host (you) able to eliminate the virus?
We cannot control how strong the virus is. We can reduce the number of viruses we come in contact with through disinfecting and social distancing. Let’s not forget to make sure your body and immune system are healthy and robust. Watch for future posts on keeping your immune system healthy and robust.
To keep your body and immune response healthy you need a few essentials, in no particular order.
1. Nutrients to keep your immune system running at its peak.
Eat vegetables and fruit
Vitamin D
Mulit-vitamin
Vitamin C
Zinc
2. Healthy circulation
Exercise daily to push blood through your body tissues taking nutrients and oxygen to all of your cells.
3. Sleep and stress reduction
Stress will lower your immune response
Get at least 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night to allow your body to repair.
Meditate/Pray/Get daily rest
4. A healthy nervous system which has been shown to have a direct influence the immune system.
B Vitamins (especially B6), the methylated forms are best
